WHY START THIS WEBSITE?
IS THIS MY ONLY WEBSITE?
I started this website because a lot of my projects in the past don't have online sources that I could share a link to. They are published in print and not available everywhere, and in today's digital world, that's not very helpful.

This is my only website for my real name, Melissa Zbozny.

With that said, I do have six websites/social media platforms that cater to my work under my fanfiction penname. I've written over one million words, spanning over 30+ stories (complete and incomplete) for this penname.
WHAT SPARKED MY INTEREST IN WRITING?
Believe it or not, fanfiction was the starting point for me. Now let me explain. I'm a big television fan because I like seeing storylines develop and become these complex adventures over the weeks (maybe years), and while that happens, you become invested in the characters involved. For some shows, there are storylines or characters that develop in ways that you don't agree with or they left you wanting more. Fanfiction allowed for me to fill that void, to find an alternative path for that television injustice I may see or it gave me the chance to write my own twist. That is a freedom I never knew existed yet it allowed for me to develop my enjoyment for writing and sharing stories.
WHAT IS YOUR GOAL AS A SCREENWRITER?
I want to be a showrunner for my own original series someday. I know I have a lot of work before I can be in a position like that, but it will be worth it once I am there.

As a fan of television, I always found a great sense of community when I talk with fellow fans about our favourite shows. Having other people to talk about the characters and the storylines is one unforgettable experience, but to also be able to learn the different perspectives surrounding another fan's outlook on your favourites, to me I feel like it further enhances the overall experience.

If I am able to create a series that can bring people together to bond over the story with me, it would truly be an honour.
WHAT OTHER ASPECTS OF PRODUCTION DO YOU PREFER?
If I'm involved in the production side of things, I prefer the directing or assistant directing roles. Due to my need for detail and organizational mindset, it benefits me to know as much of the pre-production planning as possible so that I can better evaluate where I can fill in the wholes on what needs to be covered, and who needs more support to achieve something. I've found that if everywhere is aware of the plan, more eyes are open to ensuring that the production can go as smoothly as possible.

As someone who immediately notices continuity errors in other forms of entertainment (narratively speaking and visually speaking too), I'm also interested in script supervising since they are meant to ensure that those mishaps get noticed immediately, no matter how great the performances are from the talented cast.
